Wilfa Haze is a powerful and stylish humidifier designed to improve indoor climate. It is suitable for medium to large rooms up to 70 m², and is particularly suitable for those who:

What features does the Wilfa Haze have?

Usage and Settings

How do I fill water in the Wilfa Haze?
You can fill water in two ways:

  1. Remove the top lid and pour water directly into the tank.

  2. Remove the water tank, fill it under the tap, and put it back.

Use only clean water not exceeding 40 °C. Avoid using hard objects to scrape or clean the inside of the tank.


How do the different modes work?

  • Auto mode: The humidifier automatically adjusts humidity based on room temperature (see manual table). Suitable for dynamic conditions. Example: At 22 °C, the target is 55% RH.

  • Constant Humidity mode: You select the desired humidity (e.g., 50% RH), and the humidifier maintains it within ±3%. It shuts off when the level exceeds 53% and restarts at 47%.

  • Night mode: Turns off indicator lights and display for minimal light disturbance.


How do I use night mode?
Hold the Humidity button for 2 seconds to activate night mode. This turns off the display and water tank indicator lights. Press any button to turn the lights back on.


What is the function of the HEAT/IONS button?

  • HEAT: Heats the mist by about 2 °C, which can help warm the room in winter.

  • IONS (Plasma): Reduces bacteria and particles in the air. Press multiple times to switch between the functions.

The Plasma/ion function is optional to give the user flexibility. It improves air quality by reducing dust and particles, but some people may be sensitive to ionized air, and it uses slightly more energy when active. Making it optional allows you to use it when needed without keeping it on all the time.


How do I adjust the mist level?
Use the control panel slider to choose mist level from 1 (low) to 5 (max). The display updates in real-time to show the selected level.


App and Connectivity

How do I connect the Wilfa Haze to the WiLife app?
Follow these steps:

  1. Download the WiLife app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

  2. Put the humidifier in standby mode and activate WiFi.

  3. Open the app, follow the instructions, and select Haze from the device list.

  4. Enter your WiFi password (only 2.4 GHz networks supported).

  5. Confirm the connection.

Display and Symbols

What do the symbols on the display mean?

  • Humidity level (% RH): Shows the current room humidity.

  • Temperature: Room temperature (°C).

  • Mist level: Bars 1–5 showing mist output.

  • Error codes: For example:

    • E2: Water level error.

    • EF: Too much water in the base.


How do I use the timer?

Press the TIMER button to set operation time between 1–12 hours. When the time expires, the humidifier shuts off automatically.
To cancel the timer, hold the button for 2 seconds.


Cleaning Instructions for Haze Humidifier

General cleaning instructions

  • Clean the water sensor, water tank, and water container every three days.

  • Replace water often to keep it fresh.

  • Empty the water tank and dry everything before storage.

Hard water can cause lime deposits and a “white powder” that reduces functionality. Therefore, clean the product regularly.

  • Clean the bottom part (inside the main unit) with clean water and add vinegar/descaling solution if lime deposits are present.

  • Use a brush (e.g., a toothbrush) if necessary.

  • Rinse thoroughly and empty over the sink. Dry.

  • Wash the water container if needed.

The most important point is not to leave water in the humidifier for several days, as this promotes bacteria and lime buildup. The water tank itself gets dirty more slowly, but it is important to regularly empty and dry the bottom of the main unit to prevent deposits.


How to clean the ceramic filter

  • The filter is located at the back of the water tank (black cylindrical part). Unscrew and remove it.

  • Clean and reactivate it after approximately 1000 liters of water, or more often with poor water quality.

  • Soak in vinegar for 5 minutes, rinse thoroughly.

  • Let it dry in the sun for 4–6 hours or overnight.


Frequently Asked Questions


Can I use distilled or filtered water?
Yes, it is recommended to reduce limescale and avoid white dust.


Why does white powder appear?
It is caused by hard water. Use distilled water and clean the humidifier regularly.


Can I use the humidifier without WiFi?
Yes, but the app provides more control and overview.


What do error codes EF or E1 mean?

  • EF: Too much water in the water container. Empty, clean, and try again.

  • E1: Water detector error. Reset:

    1. Empty the water tank.

    2. Plug in the power, press the On/Off button twice, hold for 2 seconds.

    3. The display shows “PL” then “PA.”

    4. Press once more, disconnect power, and try again.

Warranty and Claims

What does the warranty cover?
Wilfa Haze comes with a 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and faulty components. The warranty does not cover:
