What setting should I choose on the filter holder?
The settings on the filter holder correspond to the amount of water you’ve filled in for brewing. For example, if you fill 0.5L of water, set the filter holder to 0.5. This adjusts the water flow through the filter holder according to the amount of coffee you want to brew, ensuring it tastes just as good regardless of the quantity.

It’s not pumping any water. What should I do?
This is most likely due to limescale buildup blocking the system. Try running a descaling cycle. If it doesn’t work, please contact us and we can provide descaling instructions to help force water through the pump.

My coffee maker sounds louder than I’m used to. Is that normal?
Yes, this coffee maker has a pump that makes a bit more noise at the start and end. Thanks to Wilfa’s unique water pump technology, the brewer completely empties itself of water after each brew, ensuring you always brew with fresh, oxygen-rich, clean water. The pump technology also heats the water quickly to the correct brewing temperature, which may be the unfamiliar sound you’re hearing. This is completely normal.

Water runs along the outside of the carafe, as if it’s leaking.
Any “leak” from the thermal carafe most likely comes from external water. If the carafe has been washed, water from the dishwasher or sink can get stuck in the groove. It is not possible for it to leak from the inside. Make sure the carafe and lid dry properly after washing.

I’m having trouble removing the lid from the carafe. Do you have any tips?
Make sure you’re using the lid markings correctly:

Place the lid so the arrow points to “Unlock.”

Turn to “Lock” if you want to seal the carafe.

To pour coffee, turn the lid clockwise until the arrow points to “Lock,” then counterclockwise until the arrow points to the spout and dot.

The reason you first turn it to “Lock” is to create a vacuum, which allows for better pouring. After pouring, close the lid again by turning it clockwise until the arrow points to “Lock.”

There may be a slight vacuum when the contents are hot. In that case, gently wiggle the lid sideways to make removal easier.

What are the dimensions of the thermal carafe?

Height: 18 cm

Width: 18 cm (including handle to spout)

Base width: 14 cm

Can I use the thermal carafe with your other coffee makers?
It can be used as a separate thermos, meaning you can pour coffee into it after brewing. However, you cannot use the thermal carafe during brewing in our other models. The thermal carafe has different dimensions, and the brewers without thermal carafes have a heating plate that the thermos should not be placed on.

How often should I descale my coffee maker?
This depends on the hardness of your water. We recommend descaling and cleaning at least every three months. If you have hard water, you should do it more often.

We recommend our cleaning and descaling products, available on our website:
