The machine isn’t cooling properly and the ice cubes are thin. Any tips?
Place the ice maker on a level surface.
Keep it away from direct sunlight and other heat sources (stove, oven, radiator).
Ensure there is at least 10 cm clearance between the back/sides of the machine and the walls.
Let the machine stand still for at least 1 hour before starting to allow the cooling system to stabilize.
Do not place it in direct sunlight as this affects the sensors.
The machine is not producing ice as efficiently anymore. Sometimes it says “add water” even though water is filled.
Has the ice maker been regularly descaled and cleaned? If not, we recommend cleaning it and removing any limescale.
Check the external air filter. Dust in the filter can reduce fan efficiency, which prevents proper ice production. Clean or vacuum the filter if necessary.
Does the machine turn off? Is there a freeze function to keep the ice frozen? Should it run continuously?
The machine can run continuously.
There is no freezing function to keep ice cubes frozen longer.
When the ice compartment is full, ice production stops.
If you remove the ice and freeze it, the machine will continue producing ice.
If ice is left inside and melts, the machine will continue to produce ice using the water from the melted ice when space is available.
There is no freeze function to maintain ice, so if you want to store ice for later, remove it and freeze it in your freezer.
We do not recommend running the machine continuously without emptying the water/ice after use. For the next use, always start with fresh water.
